- 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, drained and cubed
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1 small broccoli head, cut into florets
- 1 cup snap peas
- 1/2 cup baby corn, halved
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
1. Tofu Preparation
In a bowl, toss the cubed tofu with soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch until evenly coated. Set aside.
2. Stir-Frying Tofu
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and stir-fry until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove tofu from the skillet and set aside.
3. Cooking Vegetables
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Vegetable Addition
Add bell pepper, carrot, broccoli florets, snap peas, and baby corn. Stir-fry for 5-8 minutes or until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
5. Combining Tofu and Vegetables
Return the tofu to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour in hoisin sauce, and season with salt and pepper. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
6. Final Touches
Cook for an additional 2 minutes, ensuring everything is heated through and coated with the sauce.

Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the stir-fry before serving.
