Cranberry and orange is a holiday-table pairing that has no real reason to stay seasonal. Unsweetened cranberry juice and frozen cranberries carry the tartness; orange zest rounds it out.
If the tartness is too much on its own, a drop of stevia balances it without masking the cranberry.

method
Pour the almond milk and cranberry juice into the blender, add the cranberries, zest and protein powder.
Add the ice. Blend on high for 30 to 45 seconds, until completely smooth.
Taste and adjust: a few more ice cubes for thicker, a splash more liquid for thinner. Drink cold.
chef's tips
- Unsweetened cranberry juice is tart on its own. A drop of stevia balances it if you want it milder.
- Use a protein powder with no added sugar. It is the difference between a few grams of carbs per scoop and a lot more.
